Silktide uses the Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) permissions model for user permissions. RBAC is all about giving users access to the tools and information they need and nothing more. This is usually done by assigning users to different permission roles.

The key thing to remember is that RBAC allows for a high level of detail when setting permissions. These permissions can be reused across different roles, and users can even have multiple roles. This gives you a lot of flexibility when deciding who gets access to what and keeps everything centrally managed.

Default permission roles

When you first start with Silktide, you'll notice a few pre-set roles. These are designed to help you get started, but you can also create your own roles to match your organization's needs.

Each role has different levels of access to the platform, tailored to the needs of the role and ensuring everyone can do their job without unnecessary distractions.

Create your own roles
