As a user of Silktide, you have the ability to download your data for further analysis or record-keeping purposes. Silktide offers multiple mechanisms for downloading data, each tailored to meet different requirements. In this guide, we will walk you through the various options available to download your data from Silktide.
1. Exporting Data as CSV
Silktide provides the ability to export data as CSV (Comma-Separated Values) files. This option is available for all widgets within the platform, including those found in Website Reports and Dashboard Reports. Whether you need insights into a single website, or a collection of websites and users, you can utilize the following steps:
Access the relevant Website Report or Dashboard Report.
Locate the specific widget containing the data you wish to download.
Within the widget, select the dropdown with three dots or labelled “Check widget options” in the widget header.
Click on the “Export as CSV” button to initiate the download of a CSV copy of the data.
2. Exporting Data as PDF
In addition to CSV exports, Silktide enables you to export Website Reports and Dashboard Reports as PDF files. This option is useful when you need a comprehensive snapshot of your data in a presentable format. To export a report as a PDF, follow these steps:
Navigate to the desired Website Report or Dashboard Report.
Locate the page you wish to export
Select in your browser “File” → “Print” and then set the destination to “PDF”. This will convert the page into a print friendly version and start generating a PDF
Once the PDF is generated, it will be downloaded to your device, allowing you to view and share it.
3. Downloading User Lists
If you need a copy of your user lists from Silktide, you can easily obtain them through the Account Settings area. Follow these steps to download your user lists:
Log in to Silktide and access your Account Settings.
Locate the “Users” page within the Account Settings area.
On the “Users” page, you can copy the contents of the table and paste them into spreadsheet software of your choice. If you have a tabbed list, you’ll need to do this for each page.
Note that user lists cannot be provided by Silktide from any other mechanism than this area for privacy and compliance reasons.
4. Using the Website Stats API
For programmatic access to the latest scores, statistics, and web addresses being scanned inside Silktide, you can use the Website Statistics API. By utilizing this API, you can retrieve real-time data from the platform. To use the Website Stats API, you will need to integrate it into your own software or applications.
