This guide details what the Silktide CMS integration for Jadu does, how to configure it, and how it is used in practice.

This integration enables two main features:

  • Easily switch from the Silktide application to the appropriate page Jadu to make changes.

  • New or updated pages in Jadu will be automatically tested in Silktide when published.

Requirements

You must be using a Photon template. If your website is on a Classic template, please reach out to Jadu for a custom installation.

You will need Administrator access to the Silktide platform and to be able to add the Silktide integration to your Jadu installation.

Installing the plugin

  1. In Jadu, select the Settings icon in the left navigation bar. The Settings menu will open.

  2. Select the Integrations link in the first group of links. A list of integrations will now be shown.

  3. Select the Silktide option in the list of integrations. The Silktide integration form will open.

Obtaining your API key

Silktide provides an API key to authenticate calls to the API for CMS integrations.

To obtain your API key:

  1. Login to Silktide

  2. Choose your website

  3. In the top right of the screen, select Settings > Integrations.

  4. Select New CMS, then select your CMS and Add

In your Silktide account, return to the Settings > Integrations page and copy the website API key displayed.

This will need to be added to the Jadu integration settings once it’s been set up.

You will need to retest your site in Silktide for these changes to take effect.

Retesting your site

Once the integration has been configured in Jadu, you will then need to retest your site so that Silktide will read the relevant data.

Login to Silktide and select your website – then select Retest in the navigation bar and wait for the site to retest.

Navigating from Silktide to Jadu

Once the report has finished running, you can then view your results. If everything has been configured correctly, when viewing the Inspector there will be a "CMS" button in the top right next to the Page and HTML buttons.

Selecting the "CMS" button will instantly take you to your Jadu installation with the appropriate page loaded.
