Suggested workflow

Silktide aims to make finding and fixing issues on your websites quick and straightforward.

Here’s an example workflow for fixing spelling or grammar mistakes:

  1. Find your website report inside Silktide
  2. Navigate to the Spelling or Grammar screens inside the Content module
  3. Find the issue you’d like to fix from the list of issues
  4. Open the page inside the visual inspector by clicking on the inspector icon (magnifying glass) beside the issue

Then open the page editor in your CMS to fix the issue. Once the issue has been resolved in your CMS, return to Silktide and click ‘Retest’ inside the inspector. If you’ve got a CMS integration set up, retesting will happen automatically when a page on your website is updated.

Once the page retest is completed (usually within 30 seconds), you will see the issue disappear from the list in Silktide and your Content score will be automatically updated to reflect this.

A similar workflow can be followed for every issue Silktide reports on. You can find a complete list of Checks and their associated issues by clicking on the Checks link on the left side of the page inside each module.

Checks and issues are prioritized for you by default, with the most important items appearing at the top of each Check or issue table.
